Mrs. Barnhill was wonderful. She is a caring, understanding attorney. She is fair and realistic. Mrs. Barnhill's attention to detail and determination to "take the high road" afford her clients to the best representation available. Her unshakable honesty and wholehearted sympathy made me feel like I had a friend and protector. She helped me in every way she could, as I plead my case. She did not diminish my concerns, but calmly helped me work through them (although at times sternly admonished me). While other attorneys allow their clients to lie and bully, Mrs. Barnhill encourages respect for the court system; I learned to trust it. Her assistant, Bonita is also wonderful. Both talked to me, outside of court, as I dealt with the emotions associated with my 7-day court appearance. Whatever the actual resulting order is, I know that Mrs. Barnhill worked above and beyond her duty to ensure that I was heard and I will always be grateful. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who is dealing with the horrible situation of family court.

I have had a terrible experience with this attorney. When you are NOT in full control of your emotions and thought processes due to a divorce, in my case abandonment, you obviously hire an attorney to REPRESENT you best interest, and that knows the law. This was not the case with me. I was a Civil Service annuitant. My ex spouse was recently married. And because this issue was NEVER discussed in the court order, that I was to be reinstated my FULL annuity if spouse remarries, I was plumb out of luck, as Office of Personnel Management will not reinstate my full annuity because it was not part of the court order. My question. Why didn't MS Barnhill discuss this in the original court order and with spouses attorney? It was never addressed one way or the other. I am therefore out of funds that I need. Beware if you hire Ms Barnhill's services, especially if you are a male, and a former government employee.
